Howdy!

My name is Allison Pailes!  I'm so excited to be teaching 5th grade at NHE. I'm a graduate of Texas A&M University in College Station, TX. I earned my degree in May of 2006 in Interdisciplinary Studies, with specialization in Middle Grades (4-8) Reading, Language Arts, and Social Studies, as well as English as a Second Language.

I am a Dallas native, with a 20 year hiatus, living in Edmond, Oklahoma; Marietta, Georgia; and Houston, Texas. My parents made sure no matter where I lived I remembered that I was a Texan. My husband and I live in McKinney and enjoy taking care of our West Highland White Terrier, Farley. I love reading, cooking, and any Aggie athletic event!

This year in fifth grade we are focusing on how Fifth Grade Fits Together with all of our unique personalities and different ways of learning. Each child is a puzzle piece that when we put all of them together we are able to create one beautiful, diverse picture!
