My name is Barbara
Kemper-Nolan (but I go by Mrs. Nolan at school). This is
my seventh year teaching at Northwood Hills and my
second year as NHE's librarian. I
thoroughly enjoyed teaching many of your children in 2nd
grade and 6th grade at NHE. Now, I LOVE being able
to teach all of our NHE children!
I have been happily married
for 25 years to my husband, Rick, an engineering manager
at a Dallas electronics firm. Our daughter, Jenna,
graduated from Richardson High School. She is currently
a student at Richland, where she is studying digital
graphics and animation.
I feel very blessed to be
part of the Northwood Hills family. Everyone is so
caring and helpful. I have particularly enjoyed teaching
such eager students who love learning! A major
focus of my Masters in Library Science was on integrating information technology
into content curriculum. I look forward to preparing
students to become adept at using technology to find
answers and solve problems.
I also love to read! As my
former students know, it's my favorite verb! I am very
excited about helping students find books that will
captivate their interest and help them to be just as
excited about reading as I am!
Thanks to all of you -
students, parents, and staff - for creating such an
exceptional learning environment at Northwood Hills! I
know we will have a wonderful year together! |
