Kelly Morton

E.S.L.

This is my fifth year of teaching, and I am so excited to be back at Northwood Hills! I grew up in RISD; attending Bowie, Westwood, and Pearce High School. I spent a year at the University of Oklahoma before transferring and graduating from Texas A&M University. (Needless to say, burnt orange is my least favorite color!) I earned my bachelors degree in elementary education, and I am started working towards my masters earlier this year.

Away from school, I enjoy spending time with my family and friends. I am also a counselor with the youth group at Arapaho United Methodist church, so I spend Sunday evenings with the junior high and high schoolers, as well as going on special retreats and Mission trips. This past June we took a mission trip to South Dakota- it was an amazing experience! Additionally, I am a member of the Junior League of Dallas. A few of my favorite things include college football, skiing, music, shopping, baking, and volunteering.

This year I have moved from the general classroom to teaching ESL. It is an experience I am very excited about. I am so thankful to be able to be a part of the NHE team again this year!
