Mackie Kazdoy

Principal

Welcome to our wonderful school!  My name is Mackie Kazdoy.  I am honored and excited to be starting my sixth year as the principal here at Northwood Hills Elementary School.  Our school is designated as an Exemplary School by the Texas Education Agency.  We know our school is exemplary in every way!

I attended Longfellow Elementary School and Arthur Kramer Elementary School in Dallas. I also went to Hillcrest High School in Dallas. I received my B.A. in Elementary Education from Emory University in Atlanta, my M.A. in Counseling and Student Guidance from the University of North Texas. I earned my Mid-Management Certification in Educational Administration from the University of North Texas.

As a teacher for twelve years, I taught every grade in elementary school, except 4th. I was a school counselor at Moss Haven Elementary in RISD for six years. I was the assistant principal here at Northwood Hills for five years. Before coming back to NHE, I was the principal at Richardson Heights for four years.

My husband, Alan, is an attorney. We enjoy traveling and playing with our puppies, Oliver and Oscar.

I love Northwood Hills - where teachers, parents, and students work together and are successful!
