Meagan White

1st Grade

Howdy! My name is Meagan White and I am excited to be starting my second year teaching First Grade here at NHE. My first year was absolutely amazing and I am looking forward to another one.

I grew up in San Antonio, Texas and moved to College Station to attend Texas A&M University in 2003. I graduated with honors, a degree in Early Childhood Education, and a supplemental English as a Second Language certification in May of 2007. I was blessed to stumble upon NHE in my job search. The students, teachers, and parents here create a family environment and a positive atmosphere that is unsurpassed elsewhere.

I married my wonderful husband, Kevin, in June of 2007. We had a fairytale wedding in Cancun, Mexico. We bought a house this summer in Flower Mound, and though my commute is long, our school is well worth it. Our only children for now are our two dogs. Tex is a 6 year old lab mix and Bella is a 1 year old Chihuahua. We love them very much and call them our “furry kids.” When I am not teaching, you can find me spending time with my family and friends, gardening, volunteering at my church in Lewisville, or shopping.

My goal for each year is to create a positive, safe environment in the classroom for all of my students. I believe that an encouraging environment and mutual respect between my students and me is essential for our success. Learning should be structured but fun, and everyone’s differences should be celebrated. Achievement happens when we all work together!
