Hi! My name is Sophie Kranz, and this will be my 2^nd year here at Northwood Hills. I am especially thrilled to be a second grade teacher this year because my second grade teacher was my absolute favorite teacher! That is what sparked my dream of becoming a teacher; she had a unique way of teaching that has always stuck with me. She made a HUGE impact on my life, and I want to make a difference and give back to all children like she did for me; with the same drive and compassion.

          I grew up in Richardson, Texas, and attended Arapaho Elementary, West Junior High, and Richardson High School. I left for four years while I attended Texas Tech University, and earned my Bachelor of Science Degree in Elementary Education. WRECK ‘EM TECH!! Needless to say, I am so excited to be back home in the RISD!
