Hello!
My name is Wendy
Cook and this will be my first year teaching at Northwood
Hills Elementary. I can’t express how thrilled I am to
become part of the NHE family! Working with such fabulous
staff and students can only lead to an amazing year!
I grew up in
Greenville, Texas, and attended Texas A&M University in
College Station my first two years of college. After
declaring a major, I transferred to Northwest Missouri
State University, in Maryville, Missouri, where I received
my Bachelor of Science degree in Geography in 2002 and my
Masters of Science degree in Geography in 2007. Even
though I didn’t end up graduating from Texas A&M, I am
still very much a proud Aggie!
In August 2008, I
married the love of my life, Travis. He’s also an Aggie!
We currently live in Carrollton with our two furry
children, Bailey (Dachshund) and Bella (Doberman). Along
with spending time with our family and friends, I love to
travel, shop, read, and watch movies.
I began my
teaching career in RISD in 2007, and have loved every
minute of it!
I
couldn’t imagine teaching anywhere else!
I have been
fortunate enough to teach fourth grade, sixth grade, and
now fifth grade. I love spending time with my students,
helping them set goals, and then watching them succeed! I
truly look forward to everything this year will bring!
