Northwood Hills Elementary School

Mackie Kazdoy, principal

Please join us this Thursday at 6:30 p.m. to see our choir performance, Elfis and the Elves Get All Shook Up.

Thank you to Brenna Eager (Collin and Cameron’s mom) and to the parents who helped make our Book Fair a huge success!

Thanks also to Leslie Douglass (Andrew and Leighton’s mom) and her Hospitality Committee for the delicious faculty breakfast on November 23!

Multicultural Night was a wonderful success!  Thank you to the Levans (Jacob’s parents), the Berrys (Sammy’s parents), the Andersons (Rachel, Will and Kate’s parents) and the Nguyens (Jordon, Hailey and Christopher’s parents) for coordinating everything!  Thanks also to all of the families who brought delicious food!  Remember to email your recipes to me.  I’ll compile them and share them with you!   Mackie.Kazdoy@risd.org

There’s still room in our program!!

We are doing new and exciting things this 6 weeks!  One of our specialized activities will be studying fairy tales and fables.  From there, we will write our own and then turn them into plays! As always, we have homework time, educational centers, and recess/PE time.  If you have any questions, please call Jennifer McEvoy at 469.593.4256 or visit the school website and click thebutton.

is looking for volunteers to come teach about their culture on Friday afternoons!!

We are “travelling” around the world and learning about different cultures.  I am looking for someone who could bring pictures, clothes, artifacts, etc.

If you, or someone you know, would be interested, please call the PACE phone at 469.593.4256.

Remember to Clip and Save Box Tops and Labels for Education over the holidays! Watch for the collection contest in the spring!

When you go to restaurants, stores or coffee shops please consider picking up a $5 or $10 gift certificate.  I have drawings for the teachers at our faculty meeting and include these.  It’s so much fun to win!  Thanks!
