The Weekly Falcon

Northwood Hills Elementary School

Mackie Kazdoy, principal

Thank You, Chick-fil-A!

Many thanks to Ms. Marva Perry, manager of the Chick-fil-A at Preston and Belt Line, for generously lending me their cow costume. Last year, students requested that I dress up if we were Exemplary again. Ask your 2nd – 6th graders about it! And when you go to Chick-fil-A, thank them for being a friend to NHE!

Neighbor to Neighbor Program

Be sure to tell Kroger and Tom Thumb to connect your reward cards to Northwood Hills Elementary. We will get a percentage of those profits. This money is spent for staff development, field trips and other educational opportunities for our students.

Thank you PTA!

Did you notice our “Exemplary Banner” on the north side of the school?  Linda West (Nick and Simon’s mom) and Holli Maxwell (Miles’ mom) worked with Jeremy Kaps (Zoey’s dad) to produce this terrific  banner!  Mr. Kaps owns Fast Signs and did a wonderful job!

“Beauty is…”

The PTA Reflections program begins soon!  It’s not too early to be talking with your child about this year’s theme, “Beauty is…”.  Students may enter in areas including literature, visual arts, photography, dance, even film production.  Watch for info to follow soon in your Tuesday folder.

Student Code of Conduct Book

In today’s Tuesday folder you will find the RISD Student Code of Conduct book.

In the middle, after page 88, is the form for you to complete and return to school. Please tear this out, sign and return it to school.
