Welcome back to
school! I hope everyone had a wonderful summer vacation. We are
beginning the best year yet at Northwood Hills Elementary! |

I’m sure you have
heard our proud news. The Texas Education Agency has designated
Northwood Hills as an Exemplary School! We also have been named
to the Texas Business and Education Committee (TBEC) Honor Roll
for the second year in a row! Congratulations to our students,
teachers and parents! What a wonderful, dedicated team! |

In today’s Tuesday
Envelope, we have included a new Volunteer Form. Any adult who
works with our students, at school or on a field trip, must be
cleared by the district. If you are certain that you completed a
form last year and were approved, you needn’t complete another.
The forms are good for two years. If you aren’t sure, you are
welcome to email Ms. Hunzelman at
lynn.hunzelman@risd.org
and she will check for you. We need one form per adult. When you
complete one, it will clear you to work with children at any
school in RISD. |

Our PTA fundraiser
this year is the sale of Sally Foster wrapping paper and gifts.
Your child will bring home a packet on Thursday with
information. The PTA supports our school with funds like this in
so many instructional and fun ways. Please support this sale
generously! |
