Volunteer Background Checks
At the beginning of the year, there was a
computer problem with RISD background checks.
Please go to this link and resubmit your
application. Even if you did it already for any
school, please do so again. It should go
through quickly now.

FUN!
I hope you all were able to join us last
Friday evening for the PTA Family Fall
Carnival. It was so much fun! Many thanks
to Charlotte Gruber (Taylor’s mom)
and her hard working committee: Tric
Sohosky (Sophia and Robert’s mom), Ross
Goldberg (Benjamin and Joshua’s dad), Aimee
Scott (Tristan, Lauren, Caroline and Evan’s
mom), Natalie Yancy (Noelle’s mom), Wayne
Levan (Jacob and Claire’s dad) Truong Nguyen
(Chris and Hailey’s dad) and Robert
Berry (Sam and Nate’s dad). Thank you,
also, to the Richardson High School
Interact students who volunteered and
helped so much! They showed the leadership
skills that RHS is known for! |

HOMECOMING PARADE - FRIDAY OCTOBER 21, 2011
This year’s homecoming theme is “Oscar goes
to the Movies” so NHE is rolling out the
red…I mean…PURPLE carpet and will have a
great float for all NHE students to ride
on. The parade route is on Belt Line Road.
It starts at Heights Elementary and ends at
Richardson High School. ANY NHE STUDENT
CAN RIDE ON THE FLOAT!! If you plan to
ride on the float please donate a new
package of underwear in the donation basket
in our school lobby, all proceeds go to the
Clothes Closet. Plan to be at the float
location by 3:45 on Oct. 21. It’s a good
idea to carpool with someone and park a car
at the float start location and one at the
parade end location (Richardson High school)
to avoid lots of extra walking. Just make
sure your child has a ride home if you
cannot attend.
