Many thanks to Belinda Reeder (Rene's mom) for the beautiful cedar chest in the hallway across from the office.  This chest is for donations to the RISD Clothes Closet.  Please place your washed and gently worn children's clothing in the chest to be given to the Clothes Closet.  These clothes are given to RISD students.  The Clothes Closet also appreciates donations for new, packaged children's socks and underwear.

 

Studies have come out recently about the direct benefits of reading for pleasure!  Students who read for pleasure only 4.6 minutes a day will usually be in the 50th percentile of their grade.  Up that to 21.2 minutes and the student's achievement jumps to the 90th percentile.  Please note the chart below.
