EdLine
As part of the approved 2011 Bond program, RISD
began implementation of Edline for the 2011-12
school year. Edline is a dynamic, web-based
content management system that engages teachers,
students and parents with timely and relevant
information and aligns to the district's Vision
2020 mission and goals.
Within Edline, all RISD teachers are designing
web pages to share information, assignments,
calendars and links for their class. We will be
sharing secure and confidential activation codes
with students and parents to access Edline.
Parents soon will receive separate activation
codes for each student enrolled in RISD.
To access Edline after receiving an activation
code, simply click the Edline link on the top of
the RISD home page or visit
www.edline.net.
Additionally, RISD is utilizing Edline to launch
new campus and district websites, which will
feature multiple language translation
capabilities to engage and communicate with all
district stakeholders. |

Teachers’ lounge makeover
Take a peek in our Teachers’ Lounge!
Marian Kreft, Robin Stevens, Tric Sohosky,
Natalie Yancy, Charlotte Gruber, Lisa Hord,
Jolissa Dobbs, Linda Flatt, Karen Crowder,
Bibi Negusse and Laurie Osborn donated money
and elbow grease to make it beautiful and
cozy! Ms. Stevens even painted art work for
the walls. Thank you to these wonderful
moms and to our PTA! |

Reflections
The 2011-2012 theme is "Diversity Means."
The goal of the Reflections program is to
emphasize that all children have the ability
to create a work of art that shows what
diversity means to them. Your child may
enter any of the 6 categories (visual arts,
photography, literature, musical
composition, dance choreography, film/video
production) as many times as he/she likes!
